Early Education Services
The Salvation Army of the Syracuse Area operates four licensed, quality day care centers inThis boy is prepared to begin school the Syracuse Area.  We are committed to providing quality care to all families who need child care outside of the home.  Our centers offer a clean, safe and nurturing environment.  Each Early Education Center features:

  • Ongoing, comprehensive developmental assessment
  • Referral, advocacy and support for parents and families
  • An integrated environment for children who require special needs support services onsite
  • A warm and supportive environment for children who have suffered from, or at risk for emotional or physical abuse
  • Headstart and UPK classroom collaborative at two sites
The Salvation Army Early Education Services has highly trained staff with a director for each site and at least two teachers in each classroom.

The Salvation Army also operates a drop-in child care program at the courthouse to provide a separate, supervised, and supportive environment for children who must be in court in connection with matters involving them, their family members or care givers. The Children’s Center services five courts: the New York State Supreme Court, Onondaga County Court, Family Court, Surrogate Court, and Syracuse City Court.
