EMERGENCY FAMILY SHELTER
The 30-bed, co-ed shelter and counseling service for homeless women and families serves about 500 individuals each year. It is the only shelter in the community that provides shelter for families of any configuration including fathers and male children age 12 and older. Emergency shelter residents receive meals, social work services and help finding a stable income and living situation.

Since the average stay of shelter residents is 2 – 4 weeks, there is a constant need to supply new shelter residents with the basic necessities of life.

  • Assist residents with job searches and interviewing skills
  • Greet guests, answer phones and other receptionist tasks
  • Give a mom a break by playing with her children
