Hearts & Homes is a program of support for adoptive families. We offer the following post-adoption services, which are FREE to
all families. Our services, provided by qualified professionals, specialize in addressing many of the unique dynamics and challenges of adoption. Services are provided at The Salvation Army in Syracuse. Click for more information about our next meeting.
FREE Services Available:
Counseling - Individual counseling for the adoptee or any family member as well as couple and family counseling.
Support Groups - Regular groups for adoptees, parents and siblings where you can talk with others in your situation and provide each other with information and support.
Information and Referrals - Assistance connecting with support services in your community.
Educational Programs - Workshops on adoption-related topics for parents, family and friends of adoptees, school personnel, clergy and other interested professionals.
Resource Library - Access to an extensive library of adoption-related books, magazines, articles, curricula and videos.
Services are FREE for all families.
Adoption is a lifelong process. Children and family members need support throughout their adoption experience as the children pass through various developmental stages and new issues arise. All children grow in an environment larger than just their own family and thrive best when their community understands and supports them.
